Rare pair of French 1950s avant-garde lounge chairs designed by Gérard Guermonprez for Magnani. Fully reupholstered as per the original design, with new ink coloured linen weave fabric, new rubber webbing and latex foam.

Solid Beech frame, standing on the original tubular steel frame. Extremely stylish, comfortable and in pristine condition.

Gérard Guermonprez:

After studying at the famous French School Boulle, Guermonprez exhibited his first creations during the Salon des Arts Ménagers from 1954 through 1976. In 1955 Guermonprez presented his first pieces of furniture composed of oak-tree with lacquered black metal bases, and in 1957, began to work with the company Magnani.
